Welcome to the Pennsylvania Professional Lumberjack Organization's website!

It's that time again! Time to come out and cheer on your favorite lumberjack. Check out our Events page for the latest information on this year's contests. Copies of registration forms for some of the contests can also be found on the Events page.

There is a great website you can check out- Lumberjack Planet. It is set up and administered by one of our lumberjacks so there is a lot of information that  you may find interesting. There is a link on our "Links" page.

Would you like to become a member? You do not have to compete to be a member. If you appreciate what we do and would like to help support our sport, look under the "Contact Us" link for a Membership Form.

Photo shared by Arden Cogar Jr. circa 1938-39

A very neat old picture taken from the Woodchopping contest held as part of the Rhodedendaren Festival circa 1938-39, the predecessor to the Webster County Woodchopping Festival, held in Webster Springs, WV. I cannot identify anyone in the pictures, but I have been told that my grandfather and some of my great uncles attended and participated in this event.
