Pennsylvania Lumberjack Championships 2021
August 13, 2021 - August 15, 2021
$10.00This year’s three day competition will consist of preliminary rounds starting on Friday @ 5pm. The US Title Two Man Crosscut & US Title Jack and Jill will also be held on Friday night. Saturday’s competition will be run in the flight format with the top 20 competitors being automatically seeded in each event. All other competitors will qualify for positions 21-25 on Friday night. Competition begins on Saturday at 11am. Registration will begin Friday evening from 2-4 p.m. Axe Throw preliminaries will be held during block set-up/retrieval Saturday morning. Competition will begin at 11am on Sunday. Due to inexperienced athletes getting injured or wasting trees and blocks in the past, all athletes for 3 board jigger will be selected by a committee. If you do not make the cut, we will let you know and you will be kicked into the hard hit. New this year is the 1 board jigger, athletes must be 250 lbs or heavier to compete. We will have weigh-ins for all athletes who sign up. There is a 4 event minimum. All non-PPLO members are required to pay a $10 entry fee.
All timing will be done with the Coaches Eye app. The first finisher in each event will move on to a final of five on Saturday night. All competition wood will be Aspen and White Pine. All heats will be logged matched wood. Single buck sawing will be White Pine. This year’s competition will be on a 32’x’ 64’ wooden stage.
Living Waters Camp and Conference Center is once again our host venue. There are many very affordable accommodations for our competitors and families to stay for the weekend on the grounds. They have cabins, lodges and campsites for everyone. We encourage all competitors to stay at the camp if possible. This means you would not have to tear and down and build back up in the morning before and after the show. The rooms are reserved on a first come first served basis. If you would like to stay in the lodge, you must reserve a room ahead of time. A $10.00 all you can eat breakfast will be served on both Saturday and Sunday mornings for those interested. Dinner will be provided on Saturday night for all the competitors and their families. For more information on staying at the camp, please contact Erin Brouse at 814-285-8096 or at [email protected]/p>
