SUMMARY:Train With The Pros 2024
DESCRIPTION:The annual PPLO training day will be SATURDAY February 10th at the Penn State Livestock Evaluation Center in Pennsylvania Furnace (1494 W Pine Grove Rd\, Pennsylvania Furnace\, PA 16865) starting at approximately 9 am. It will be indoors\, but won’t be heated to a toasty 70 degrees\, so dress accordingly! As in the past\, Arden Cogar Jr. and Chris Bradshaw\, Zach Brouse and Josh Wilson will be present to give stellar instruction with the possibly Mike Eash\, Martha King\, and maybe other as well.\nPlease bring as much wood as you can\, as well as your practice equipment. However\, if you have none of these but are still interested\, come anyway. There will be wood to share\, and equipment too\, if necessary. The main focus will be on underhand and standing block chopping\, as well as single buck sawing. I’m sure a few people will bring some snacks\, and we will take a collection to make a pizza run for lunch.\nThe Woodsmen’s Team at Penn State has arranged the facilities\, so a big thanks to Mike and the crew! And also\, please share this with as many folks as you can think of who may be interested. Come with an open mind and a kind spirit\, and I guarantee you will either learn something or teach someone\, most likely both!\nNote:  Bring some snacks or a covered dish for lunch like usual. We will do the spring meeting\, Alex will lead it and i will call in for it.
